It’s festive season, and you know what that means — presents and loads of them! But, that also means that you have to get to writing Christmas card messages, which can be awfully tricky: After all, what is the best message for Christmas?
Unfortunately, we don’t have the answer to that. However, we do have a list of Christmas card messages to get your ideas flowing. Who knows? Maybe the correct answer is a combination of them all!
Before we ply you with sample greetings, you should:
  • Sit down and think about why you’re sending the card out — are you conveying thanks? Perhaps, you’d like to return their support? Whatever the case is, remember to tailor your message accordingly!
  • Use kind, uplifting words or slip in a dad joke or two to help improve their mood. A little boost of positivity or humour can go a long way!

Now that that’s sorted, here are some Christmas card ideas to help you get started.

TO CONVEY GRATITUDE AND LOVE

  • So grateful to have a friend like you at Christmas and all year long.
  • Where could I find a friend like you? Not at the North Pole, that’s for sure! This year know that you’re the best gift in my life. Merry Christmas.
  • I’m so thankful to have such loving people in my life. Here’s to making many more Christmas memories (and hot chocolate).
  • The gift of love. The gift of peace. The gift of happiness. May all these be yours at Christmas.
  • Your love is the best Christmas gift for me. Merry Christmas, sweetheart.
  • I am grateful to have you in my life. You are the best Christmas present I could ever ask for.

TO SPREAD JOY

  • Unwrap yourself a jolly Christmas!
  • May the Christmas season fill your home with joy, your heart with love and your life with laughter.
  • Thinking warmly of each of you and everyone an extra measure of comfort, joy and hope this Christmas.
  • Christmas is Claus for celebration!
  • May this Christmas end the present year on a cheerful note and make way for a fresh and bright New Year. Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
  • May the good times and treasures of the present become the golden memories of tomorrow. Wishing you lots of laughter and joy. Merry Christmas!
