#happywomen: Ziqi, Brand Marketing Manager of The 1872 Clipper Tea Co.

It’s the end of March and here we are with the last installation of our #happywomen series! Behind all the beautiful communications of The 1872 Clipper Tea Ziqi, Brand Marketing Manager of the Singapore heritage tea brand. Similar to flowers, The 1872 Clipper Tea Co. believes in bringing people together through experiences.

Behind every Iron Lady comes experiences that shape a lady into who she is today. Ziqi recalled having a strict department head that had her question whether she was suited for a marketing role. “I often felt like a deflated balloon at work, and it was a stab to my self esteem when comparisons were made.” She noted that the key to overcoming such hurdles is not to be so hard on herself, and also to take comments with a pinch of salt.

The main takeaway from Ziqi’s story is simple – focus inwards and improve yourself instead. Years down the road when you look back, you will want to give yourself a pat on the back! “I can’t say I am a happiness guru, but I guess with age and experience, everyone grows.”
