Love Cocoa aims to make British chocolate great again, reinventing chocolate classics with a contemporary touch, being free-from palm oil and wrapped in plastic-free packaging.
The Founder of Love Cocoa, James Cadbury, was inspired by his great-great-great Grandfather, John Cadbury (Founder of Cadbury). He created Love Cocoa with the purpose of making great tasting chocolate bars here in Great Britain, in a way that’s loved by you, the planet, and its people.
Love Cocoa is on a mission to make chocolate consumption more sustainable, which is why they are committed to planting one tree for every product sold. By working with Trees for the Future and cocoa farmers in northern Cameroon to plant 500,000 trees, they believe they can create a fairer, more sustainable chocolate industry. Additionally, their plant a tree project will have planted over 1M trees by the end of 2021, which means they will be carbon negative.
Love Cocoa also works with suppliers who guarantee cocoa farmers higher than the market price. Their integrated production value chain means directly trading with farmers, resulting in fairer prices for the producers. Additionally, they work with smaller family-run businesses that have a long and respectful relationship with all members of the value chain.
Lastly, they are 99% plastic-free (the inner film is compostable), and by the end of 2021, will have eliminated all plastic from their packaging.
